My name is Joseph Driscoll and I am an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator for Sunrise Senior Living in Pikesville. I am wanting start a monthly meeting of natural poets who would love to share there work on a monthly basis to seniors. This will be monthly which I think is great, we can discuss our poetry and read it allowed and maybe help some senoirs write also. The details are still in the works, but the good thing is it is a meet up for our talents.

Poetry doesn't have to be a solitary art. Let's get together to read, write and workshop poems. Beginner to Advanced poets are invited but everyone writes and everyone gives feedback. Any form or style is welcome, let's laugh, cry, fume and open our wide minds to the beauty of words.
The original name was going to be "The messy writer's group for the functionally nutty," but we don't all have to be messy, or nutty, or functional. We read, write and perform poetry. Sometimes it shoots, sometimes sits like dirt, sometimes resists like phlegm, or oozes, or sometimes it just rests above our heads- no matter.
